“Marie-Sophie et moi nous connaissons depuis plus de 10 ans. Nous travaillons intensément ensemble, et à travers ce travail, nous sommes devenus amis. Il y a environ trois ans, elle m’a fait part d'une situation personnelle qui l'a amenée, par hasard et une combinaison d'événements à s’occuper d'un orphelinat de 40 enfants au Bénin. J'ai été profondément impressionnée, et je le suis toujours, par tout le travail, les efforts et l'amour que Marie-Sophie et son mari Jeremy (mon collègue artiste, Jeremy Demester) consacrent à ce projet, appelé « Atoké ».
Dès le moment où j'ai entendu parler de leur organisation à but non lucratif, j’ai décidé d’essayer au moins une fois de faire quelque chose pour soutenir leur initiative. Bien sûr, il y a beaucoup de grands projets et causes à soutenir, mais celui-ci me semblait naturel et direct, c’était évident. Indépendamment, j’ai développé l’idée de créer un petit Golden Nose, une réplique 1:1 du nez d’un bébé de 8 mois. « Das goldene Näschen » : un nez doré est un symbole pour tant de choses, tant de dictons sur le nez existent en allemand, en anglais et en français. Je suis très heureuse qu’avec l'aide d’un autre ami, Alexander Hornemann de l’Atelier Georg Hornemann, nous ayons pu créer cette belle pièce, une véritable œuvre d'art, et en même temps drôle et ironique.
J’ai décidé que ce serait le projet parfait pour soutenir Atoké : Des enfants qui aident des enfants ! L’art aidant les enfants orphelins... un match parfait, pour une chance parfaite. Alors s’il vous plaît, aidez-nous à soutenir Atoké et obtenez ma nouvelle pièce!”

“Marie-Sophie and I have known each other for over 10 years. We work intensely together, and through this work we have become friends. About three years ago, she told me about a personal situation that led her, by chance and a combination of events, to take care of an orphanage of 40 children in Benin. I was deeply impressed, and still am, by all the work, effort and love that Marie-Sophie and her husband Jeremy (my artist colleague, Jeremy Demester) put into this project, called “Atoké”.
From the moment I heard about their non-profit organization, I decided to at least once try to do something to support their initiative. Of course, there are a lot of great projects and causes to support, but this one felt natural and straightforward to me, it was obvious. Independently, I developed the idea of ​​creating a tiny Golden Nose, a 1: 1 replica of an 8 month old baby's nose. "Das goldene Näschen": a golden nose is a symbol for so many things, so many sayings about the nose exist in German, English and French. I am very happy that with the help of another friend, Alexander Hornemann of Atelier Georg Hornemann, we were able to create this beautiful piece, a true work of art, and at the same time funny and ironic.
I decided this would be the perfect project to support Atoké: Children Helping Children! Art helping orphaned children ... a perfect match, for a perfect chance. So please help us support Atoké and get my new coin! "
